Social Impact Project for International Pricing & Sales Strategy for Swiss-Colombian Water Filters - SAP EMEA Cohort

How This Works

As part of the TRANSFORM Support Hub, you will learn how to advance your career while getting hands on experience on projects like this one.

Project Description and Impact

Openversum is a Swiss-Colombian social enterprise providing affordable, high-quality water filters through a microfranchising model. Our filters are produced in Colombia by our local entity and sold by trained microentrepreneurs—mostly women—in underserved communities. Now, we’re looking to expand our reach by selling to NGOs, CSR buyers, and institutional partners, especially in Switzerland and Europe, where impact reporting and compliance requirements are higher.

To do this successfully, we need support to structure our pricing, taxation, and invoicing strategy across the two entities. We want to remain competitive while ensuring our operations are compliant, financially sustainable, and appealing to mission-aligned buyers. Our small team lacks the in-house expertise to navigate cross-border pricing and fiscal setup, and getting this right is key to unlocking new partnerships and scaling our impact.

Learning Opportunity

By working with us, the experteer will gain hands-on insight into how a Swiss-Colombian social enterprise operates across borders to scale affordable water solutions. You’ll explore real-world challenges around impact-linked pricing, international tax strategy, and structuring sales for both local microentrepreneurs and global NGOs.

You’ll also engage with a passionate, impact-driven team tackling urgent global problems—clean water access, gender equity, and climate resilience—through a market-based model. This is a chance to shape how a lean startup navigates cross-border growth, while contributing to a venture that puts people and planet first.
