Project Description and Impact

We have four railbanked/conserved rail corridors that need to be developed. So, we need the funds to do that. It costs about $25,000/mile to develop a rail-trail in Kansas using volunteer labor. Most funds are used for crushed limestone for the trail surface and for decking and railing old railroad bridges.
