Project Description and Impact
SuperBetter is a purpose-led for profit. Our venture is mostly bootstrapped. In recent months we started testing the waters with the idea of forming grant-funded collaborations for impact, and to provide financial resources to customize & validate SuperBetter programs for different markets. We've confirmed interest and have & are in the process of submitting grant proposals in the U.S. and Africa, mostly in the area of student and teacher mental health & wellbeing.
We'd like to create a more intentional strategy to identify these types of partnerships & grant opporunities. There may also be opportnities in areas like corporate social responsbility funding.
Our mission is to unlock the heroic potential of youth & young adults everywhere. SuperBetter is an easy-to-teach mindset intervention that uses the psychology of game play to achieve epic wins in all of life. Five published studies show its benefits for improving resilience, self-efficacy & mental health. The SuperBetter Mindset can taught & practiced with curriculums, edtech/tech-enabled tools (e.g. app), workshops &/or professional development programs. Over 1 million people have used the SuperBetter app, SuperBetter Classroom is validated with Indiana University, a curriculum for low-resource schools is validated at a K12 school in Zambia, and the City of Mobile, AL is implementing a mentor program using the SB Mindset framework. SuperBetter is named a Top Innovator in Youth Mental Health by The World Economic Forum, and a Top Global Innovation in School Wellbeing by HundrED.
