Project Description and Impact

Key Farmers Cameroon- KFC,  is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation carrying out capacity-building activities with small-scale farmers (mostly women) in marginalised rural communities in the South West region of Cameroon. Most of these farmers are drop -outs from  school who knows little or nothing in modern agriculture. They mainly carryout traditional farming activities for subsistence. With our many years of experience in the field, training them in aquaculture, animal production (piggery and poultry), crop production, food processing and transformation, agroforestry as well as income-generating activities  such as mushroom, snail farming and bee-keeping the standards of living of these farmers have improved tremendously. Our many years of projects settle in the areas of economic empowerment, health, gender, environmental sustainability etc.

Our organization is doing a lot better than what is reflected online. We need to reshape our broken, outdated website to help spread our best practices and program details, as well as to better support the local groups and communities we are working with. This website project will greatly help all of our partners, volunteers etc., with a good presentation of our work activities which will get them inspired. The website will benefit more than 5000 smallholder farmers by helping them to increase production and income.
