We think this is an exciting project for the young program manager to support environment in Rosario de Limeira, Brazil in exchange for housing.

Our organization is located in one of the world’s top biodiversity hotspots, Brazil’s Atlantic Forest. Our objective is to figure out better ways of forest care and protect our extraordinary biodiversity while generating forest-based incomes and raising living standards for local communities. 

Since 1999, Iracambi has been dedicated to the development and conversation of the surroundings of the State Park of Serra do Brigadeiro - MG, during which time several projects focused on:

  • Forest regeneration with production and planting of thousands of native seedlings;
  • Environmental Awareness of hundreds of children and youth;
  • Community training to strengthen and cope with the great threat of bauxite mining in the region;
  • Alternatives of income with community-based tourism and medicinal plants;
  • Creation of RPPNs.


Our projects has a continuous aspect, so when a new volunteer arrives, he help us with all the ideas and projects that we are working together.

We have a great infrastructure inside of the Atlatic Rainforest in Brazil. Here you will find everything you need to live and work in a beautiful forest in Brazil. 

The work environment could not be better. Iracambi receives every year many volunteers from all over the world. Here they find a community that in integrated with the NGO and learns important skills for the rest of their lives. 


Located in Brazil’s Atlantic Forest, we work with the local communities and people from around the world to protect natural resources and to enhance local livelihoods. As well as to try and enhance and protect the biodiversity found in this small paradise.

Here you will learn about yourself, but will learn about a new way of living too, the communities here are very rich in culture and experienced working with the earth.
