PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND IMPACT
We are a waste management social enterprise that is moving India's solid waste sector to models that are simultaneously environmentally and financially sustainable. We offer professional waste collection and processing services to large housing societies, manufacturers, and waste pickers. Our multifaceted model reduces waste to the dumpsite, improves waste picker livelihoods, and increases agricultural productivity through the organic compost we create. Since fall 2013, we have averted over 1,400 tons of waste from Indian dumpsites.
Our businesses are taking off, from our recycling work which currently holds partnerships with multinational packaging and FMCG companies, to our organic waste processing work, which produces our nutrient-rich Sanjeevini Compost that is now selling on Amazon and other outlets. We seek a creative Volunteer Graphic Designer to help us give a professional, artistic touch to our brand by designing marketing materials that can showcase and amplify the work we are doing.
We would be thrilled to have support from the Volunteer Graphic Designer on any and as much of the following as possible:
- Update our company executive summary 2-pager
- Create a powerful flier that deep-dives in our core services targeted at large bulk generators in Hyderabad – Urban Waste Management and Recycling – outlining how the service works, benefits, etc.
- Create a slider banner for our website which highlights the recent launch of our Sanjeevini Compost on Amazon.in
- Design a concise WVI sticker to display at housing societies that advertises our waste collection service
- As much as possible, ensure branding consistency across the various brochures and marketing materials (may require reviewing/updating our existing Company Executive Summary as well)
- Design (Web or Print)
We Provide These Local Benefits
This is an ideal opportunity for a student or professional looking to polish her skills in graphic design, increase her portfolio, and gain exposure in the social enterprise space. We consistently collaborate with leading impact investors, conferences, and pioneers in the circular economy. Your designs will gain exposure among our elite audience. We are happy to help get your quality work in front of the right eyes.
Given the length and nature of this project, it likely does not make sense for the Experteer to come in person unless they are already located in Hyderabad, or would like to use this as an excuse to meet with our team in person. However, there are several benefits to the Experteer:
- Insight into how a fast-paced early-stage startup operates
- A broader network in the social enterprise space including addition to the WVI Alumni Network
- Certificate of Completion
Additionally, if the Experteer is in Hyderabad, they can join all of our team meetings and team events.
This opportunity accepts applications for virtual experteers.
