Description and Impact
Located in Ollantaytambo, a historic town in Peru’s majestic Sacred Valley, between Cusco and the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, We are a nonprofit social enterprise that empowers rural Andean women. We offer skills training that connects our women's cooperatives to global market opportunities and enables them to earn an income to transform their communities. With our help, Andean women sell their products to international retailers of ethically-sourced handmade goods. We also have a sustainable tourism program that includes a homestay association, a Spanish teachers’ cooperative, and community cultural tourism excursions to visit our weaving cooperatives. We celebrate the impact of our diverse community – the passionate volunteers, engaged donors, tourists and fair-trade shoppers that are collectively transforming people’s lives.
