This vision reflects our commitment to combatting cardiovascular diseases and stroke in every community, for every patient, no matter their circumstances. Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of men and women in the United States. Stroke ranks fifth and is a leading cause of severe disability. Some form of cardiovascular disease affects more than one in every three adult Americans.

Impact Story

Our work impacts every community around the world through our innovative research programs, to local, state, and federal advocacy work. We are a leader in public health education and awareness through workplace health & safety programs, CPR training programs, blood pressure self-management, healthy cooking and nutrition classes, and promotion of healthy lifestyle choices. We provide science-based treatment guidelines to healthcare professionals to help them deliver quality care to their patients. Each of these focus areas has active, ongoing programs and our organization is dedicated to working with all communities to improve health outcomes with a focus on collective impact and health equity.
