We are a social enterprise operating in the natural, organic cosmetics space. We were established in 2015 and based in Kampala – Uganda. We manufacture and distribute high quality, natural and organic bath and beauty shea butter cosmetics
Impact Story
Shea butter is a key raw material in our products. We currently work with 30 households of shea nut gatherers in Otuke sub-county in Lira District. Most of these households, typically of 5 people, are slowly recovering from a protracted rebel war. We're reaching up to 150 people. In the next 4 years we expect to increase the impacted households to 100 and improve (through their income generation from the sale of shea butter and other products – honey, aloe vera) the lives of at least 600 people.
Our goal is to create jobs for urban youth starting with those who work with us and also to invest in rural households, directly through the purchase of shea nuts and indirectly through capacity building in areas such as financial literacy; supporting them to start other income generating activities like aloe vera cultivation and beekeeping among others.
