Organization Details

Key Farmers Cameroon (KFC) is a non-profit rural development organisation incorporated in 2004. Its headquarters are located in Kumba, South West Region of Cameroon. The organisation was created with the purpose of improving the conditions of poor rural subsistence farmers  in Cameroon and abroad via education and training in modern farming technologies. Our projects and programs include but not limited to: Biochar production and use in promoting food sustainability and for climate change reduction, vocational education and training, livestock production, women empowerment, protection in emergencies, aquaculture, agroforestry, mushroom cultivation and marketing as well as income-generating activities. KFC has experts in agriculture, livestock, microfinance, education, health etc. These experts reach out in our rural communities to help farmers help themselves.

Impact Story

Our goal is to empower between 25.000  to 250.000 poor members and vulnerable children and women in rural communities in job creartion and employment opportunities through programs for modern farming skill and innovations which brings positive changes in our lives and lead us into a brighter future.

Our positive impact include but not limited to:

- Assisting 200 displaced children with agricultural jobs. 

- Providing programs on modern farming skills to 15000 smallholder farmers in rural communities in Cameroon

-  Training rural farmers in the production and use of biochar for the promoting of food security and for climate change mitigation

- Our vocational education and job creation enabled 500 subsistence farmers (women) with skills acquisition on income-generating activities for the achievement of personal income.
