Organization Details

Coschool is a social enterprise in Bogotá, Colombia that is working in the education sector. We design and run programs to develop social & emotional skills (SEL) in young people. We do this via leadership & entrepreneruship programs, teacher training, and summer camps. Since 2014 we have been aiming to design and build the most efficient and high impact methodologies for developing these key 21st century skills in young people in Colombia and Latin America.

Impact Story

CoSchool was set up a group of English and Colombian teachers in 2014: we were fed up of working in education systems that were not preparing young people properly for life. We firmly believe that students should learn character & leadership skills while they are at school. We believe students should start changing the world before they leave school: and through a number of different approaches, we have begun our work in Colombia.

We operate 1 day, 1-2 week, and 6 month+ programs aimed at providing young Colombians with these skills. After 5 years of learning and growing we have now focussed upon Cotrain (teacher training), CampCo, and Colead as our main programmes. With Colombia going through an exciting period of change, following years of civil war and unrest, CoSchool has an incredibly important role to play. We have won awards for our work, and without having received any investment, we have grown our team to 12 full time people and are proudly a B Corp.

We have raised over $175K USD in investment and we are looking to support change in the Colombian education system and beyond. We recently won grants from the Gates Foundation and Templeton Foundation for our work.
